Welcome Back!

Although it seems like only yesterday that we were steaming in the heat of a summer rehearsal or watching the sun set over the Northport Park Band Shell, it’s actually almost time to once again steam in the damp heat of autumn rehearsals. Yup. Labor Day will be in our rear view mirror soon and Wednesday, September 10th will be upon us!

Once again, I will reiterate the cry for “More Men!” If you know any male person who may be interested in having the fantastic experience of singing with the Northport Chorale, please encourage them to do so. In fact, I would go so far as to suggest threats, bribes of any kind, or enticing them into a car with no visible means of escape. Women are ok too - just tell them it’s a night out.

I will have calendars for everyone at our first rehearsal, but the important Dates to take note of are, of course, September 10th, our first rehearsal in the Chorus Room at East Northport Middle School. Sunday, September 21st is Cow Harbor Day in Northport Village. There is a huge parade in which we take part. There will be more info at rehearsal but save the date. Thanksgiving week’s rehearsal will be on Monday, November 24th. Friday of that same week, November 28th, the Chorale performs at the Northport Tree Lighting. Our Winter/Holiday Concert is on Friday, December 5th. Our Dress Rehearsal will be Wednesday the 3rd, but keep Thursday free for an extra rehearsal if needed.

Please, please, please bear in mind that this is going to be a very short season - every rehearsal will be important. Try very hard not to miss. Registration will take place at rehearsal, but it would be great if you wanted to register ahead of time by printing out the form below and filling out the form and sending it with your check ($135 for full year; $75 per semester) to Grace Dallesandro, 5 Kew Court Huntington New York 11743.
